Perseus's PublicAffairs imprint has signed a book by a group of British journalists about Wikileaks called Wikileaks: Inside Julian Assange's War on Secrecy. The authors, who include David Leigh and Luke Harding, all work for The Guardian and have been covering Assange and his muckraking Web site since it first started making headlines.
Public Affairs acquired U.S. and Canadian rights to the title from Random House UK and is planning to release the book in paperback and e-book in February 2011. According to PublicAffairs, the title will "take the lid off the WikiLeaks phenomenon and explore the many strands of a story that continues to dominate world headlines." Leigh added that his team has "worked with Assange and followed his mission every step of the way," and that their book "will bring you as close to the unvarnished truth as you're likely to get."
