Foundry Literary + Media co-founder Peter McGuigan has provided more details on his new literary agency Ultra Literary, which was announced last week.

Ultra staffers include former Foundry agent Kirsten Neuhaus and Alička Pistek. The latter, who will be handling foreign rights, worked with McGuigan earlier in his career at Sanford J. Greenburger Associates.

McGuigan clients include Trevor Noah (Born a Crime), Patrick deWitt (Sisters Brothers), Wesley Snipes, Brett Witter (Dewey), Jeff Foxworthy, and Andy Richter. The new firm, he said, is "creative, funky, punky, and punches above its weight.”

Initial sales for Ultra include Pulitzer Prize-winner Betsy McKay's Disease X, which just sold to Amy Einhorn and Sarah Crichton at Henry Holt, as well as a book about the future of Nascar by Kyle Petty and Ellis Henican that sold St. Martin's Press.

Neuhaus will, like McGuigan, be bringing her clients to Ultra; they include Bonobos founder Andy Dunn (the forthcoming Self-Disrupt), Carol Woolton (The New Stone Age), and Jessica and Parker Curry (Parker Looks Up). Pistek, who began at ICM before joining Sanford Greenburger, also ran her own agency for a number of years and is the co-author of The New Superpower for Women by Steve Kardian.
