Michelle Obama's next book has been unveiled. Penguin Random House said that the former First Lady and bestselling author's new work, The Light We Carry: Overcoming in Uncertain Times, will be released on November 15.

PRH, which acquired world rights to the book from Deneen C. Howell at Williams & Connolly LLP, announced he book with a video and cover reveal. The title, to be released by the house's Crown imprint, is going to press for an announced 2.75 million copies, with a Spanish-language edition set to be released by Plaza & Janés/Penguin Random House Grupo Editorial. Overall, the publisher said, the book will be released simultaneously in 14 languages and 27 countries.

The Light We Carry offers, PRH said, "a series of fresh stories and insightful reflections on change, challenge, and power," following on the story the author told in her 2018 bestselling memoir Becoming, which chronicled her the South of Side of Chicago to the White House. The new book, the publisher went on, draws from the author's experience "as a mother, daughter, spouse, friend, and First Lady" as she shares "the habits and principles she has developed to successfully adapt to change and overcome various obstacles."
