Common Core Standards – issue: August 19; reservation deadline: August 5 – today

One of the most far-reaching changes in the national curriculum is the adoption of Common Core Standards. Already the reaction in states where early tests have been given, including New York State, has been one of shock at the low scores. Textbooks and preparatory materials are all going to have to change.
