Three-Way Tie for Romance: Focus on Romance 2013
The decline of print sales of romance books and the rise of e-books led to a three-way tie for the top format in the genre in 2012 among e-books, trade paperback, and mass market paperback. According to Bowker Market Research, the three formats each claimed 27% of spending on romance titles last year. Hardcover was a distant fourth, accounting for 16% of spending.

Released in April, The Barnes & Noble Guide to Children's Books by Kaylee N. Davis, offers evaluations of 1,000-plus titles, guidelines for books in different categories, and essays by 20 children's authors and illustrators.

Revenue Fell 4% at Indigo
Revenue for the fiscal year ended March 30 fell 4.4% at Indigo Books & Music, to C$893 million, with the Canadian chain attributing the decline primarily to lower physical book and e-reader sales.
