After word broke on February 3 that Harper Lee, author of one of the most-loved and bestselling American novels of all time, would be releasing a sequel to To Kill a Mockingbird, both the new and old books shot up Amazon's bestseller lists.

As of the afternoon of February 4, the new book, Go Set a Watchman, to be released by HarperCollins this July, claimed the #1 spot on Amazon's chart, with Mockingbird, written 50 years prior, jumping from #7,564 to the #2 spot, a 10,405% increase.

To Kill a Mockingbird also hit #2 on the Kindle bestseller list, jumping from 267; and Go Set a Watchman ranked #8.
