Girl, Sell Some Books

Rachel Hollis has the #1 book in the country with Girl, Stop Apologizing. It’s the follow-up to Girl, Wash Your Face, which debuted in February 2018 with 11K print copies sold and stayed on our hardcover nonfiction bestseller list longer than any other title in 2018; it was the second-bestselling book of the year, after Michelle Obama’s Becoming. Hollis’s new title debuts with 157K print copies sold.

Have You Met Miss Jones?

Daisy Jones & the Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid lands at #6 in hardcover fiction. It’s “a stunning story of sex, drugs, and rock ’n’ roll in the 1960s and ’70s,” our starred review said, and Reese Witherspoon seems to agree: she’s coproducing, with Amazon Studios, a 13-episode series based on the book, and she selected it as her latest book club pick. Six just may be Reid’s lucky number.

True Romance

There’s a new book club in town: on March 6, Jenna Bush Hager launched #ReadWithJenna on Today. Her first pick: The Last Romantics, which our review called an “accomplished second novel” by Tara Conklin. It pubbed February 5 and, after Hager’s announcement, enjoyed its best weekly sales to date, debuting at #8 in hardcover fiction.
