Gabriel García Márquez
#15 Hardcover Fiction
The Nobel-winning author, who died in 2014, struggled to finish this novel toward the end of his life while suffering from dementia. Unsatisfied with the result, he asked that the drafts be destroyed. In a move that has met with public criticism, his sons released a version of the manuscript in Spanish on March 6, which would have been his 97th birthday, and in English on March 12.
