12/19: Jesse Reklaw Signing in Portland, OR
As part of his Get Off the Couch Book Tour, cartoonist Jesse Reklaw will be reading from and signing copies of his new book, Couch Tag (Fantagraphics), on Thursday, December 19th from 6-8 p.m. at Floating World Comics in Portland, Oregon. The book, a memoir comprised of five novellas that humorously and thoughtfully use concepts like cats and card games to comment on childhood, death, sex, etc., is the first long-form work from Reklaw, who is best known for his innovative weekly strip Slow Wave. 12/21: Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner in Tampa, FL
To celebrate the release of Harley Quinn #1 (DC Comics), Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti will be signing copies of the debut issue on Saturday, December 21st from 2-4 p.m. at Heroes Haven in Tampa, Florida. Conner and Palmiotti (who are married) are two of the most popular creators working in comics, lending their talents to characters such as Power Girl, Jonah Hex, Silk Spectre, Batman, The Punisher, Green Arrow and many more. Their new series stars Haley Quinn, the Joker's main squeeze and a consistent fan favorite, in zany, fourth wall-breaking stories sure to stick in Batman's craw. This event is free to the public.
