The cookbook world (and publishing world in general) was abuzz with news leading up to the Roger Smith Cookbook Conference, which took place February 9-11 in New York City. The event brought more than 250 participants to sessions on the past, present, and future of the cookbook—and a lively discussion ensued in each case.

With a cast of panelists that spanned authors, bloggers, media, publishers, editors and beyond, there was much opportunity not only for learning and sharing, but for networking as well. Already in the works are plans for the second annual conference… so stay tuned for further details in the coming months.
