Dana Cowin, Food & Wine editor-in-chief, is set to embark on a culinary adventure in her own kitchen with Mastering My Mistakes in the Kitchen. The book, which was acquired by Dan Halpern, is tentatively set to publish in 2014.

Cowin will turn to the many chefs she's worked with in the magazine, enlisting their advice troubleshooting how a recipe went wrong, and what she can do to make it better.

In her F&W role, Cowin oversees all entities of the magazines—print and digital—and serves as the head talent scout. Just last year, she was inducted into the James Beard Foundation's Who's Who of Food & Beverage in America. She also edits Food & Wine's cookbook series, which includes Food and Wine: America’s Greatest New Cooks: Spectacular Recipes with Fresh Ideas from Tomorrow’s StarsFood and Wine: America’s Greatest New Cooks: Spectacular Recipes with Fresh Ideas from Tomorrow’s Stars.
