Rutgers University Press has reached an agreement with Bucknell University Press through which Rutgers will do all of the production, marketing, and sales for Bucknell titles. The new arrangement will begin with the spring 2018 list.

Bucknell publishes over 30 titles a year in the arts and humanities, with distinguished series in 18th century studies, Latin American studies, and Iberian studies, among others. With over 80 years as a leading social science and humanities publisher, Rutgers University Press will provide Bucknell with the opportunity to deliver its books to the broadest possible audience.

Micah Kleit, director of RUP, said Bucknell will complement its own list and give greater visibility to both press’s books.

In a statement, Kleit said: "It's a win-win for both presses: in Rutgers, Bucknell gains a partner that is a kindred university press, one that understands the intrinsic value of such a place and its role in university life.... In Bucknell, Rutgers gains a partner whose list adds depth and breadth to its own." Kleit added that, together, the presses "will enjoy the opportunity to expand their visibility in their respective fields and take advantage of the economies of scale that we attain by working together."
