As part of closing its Prima Games imprint, DK has sold Prima’s digital assets to Asteri Holdings, a two-year-old company that owns a network of game, entertainment, sports, news, and kids’ websites. The purchase involves primagames.com, Prima’s website.

Steve Gray, founder and CEO of Asteri, said that in addition to continuing to function as a portal for news and tips on games, the website will serve as a hub for game creators to gather player feedback on projects in development.

The sale of the digital assets marks the final step in closing DK’s Prima Games imprint. In November, the company announced that it planned to shut the division by March 2019.

Founded in 1990, Prima was once one of the largest publishers of video game strategy guides in the industry, but the proliferation of game guide websites led to a severe decline in the demand for print books.
