In another effort to meet its pledge to expand its international and foreign-language publishing program, Simon & Schuster has entered into a joint publishing arrangement with Urano World Publishing Group, one of the biggest independent publishers in Spain and Latin America.

The agreement is between Primero Sueño Press, an imprint formed by Atria Books in February 2024 dedicated to publishing Latinx/Latine/Hispanic authors in both English and Spanish, and Urano World, which has offices in eight countries.

As part of the agreement, a select number of Primero Sueño's Spanish-language titles will be published in Spain and Latin America by Urano World and its imprints, which will also distribute titles directly to most Spanish-speaking territories throughout the world. According to S&S, titles published in Latin America and Spain will be co-branded as PSP and Urano, and will be published under different Urano imprints depending on the subject matter.

In addition, the joint venture will feature an inaugural list of more than 20 translated titles publishing both in the U.S. and in partnership with Urano World. The first copublished title will be the Spanish edition of For Whom the Belle Tolls by Jaysea Lynn, which will be released on October 21, 2025, in conjunction with publication of the book’s special edition in the U.S. Future publications include the Spanish editions of The Book of Shadow Work; Detoxify: The Everyday Toxins Harming Your Immune System, and the horror anthology The Ghosts of Where We Are From.

“We’re eager to introduce Simon & Schuster’s most impactful titles to our community, both original and in translation, to new markets around the world with such a dynamic strategic partner,” said Michelle Herrera Mulligan, VP and associate publisher at Primero Sueño in a statement.
