LibraryPass this week announced a distribution agreement with popular upstart TKO Studios to make their comics catalog available to libraries and schools. Under the deal, TKO Studios’ full digital catalog is now available on Comics Plus, including day & date access to new releases.

TKO Studios debuted in 2018 with a debut roster of creators and an innovative “binge release model” that simultaneously published entire series in periodical and collected editions in both print and digital formats. Among TKO Sudio's offerings are Sentient by Jeff Lemire & Gabriel Walta, The Banks’ by Roxane Gay and Ming Doyle, and Sara by Garth Ennis and Steve Epting, and new all-ages offerings like Djeliya by Juni Ba, and Scales & Scoundrel by Sebastian Girner & Galaad.

Comics Plus offers readers access to thousands of digital comics, graphic novels, and manga through their school or library with unlimited simultaneous access for online and offline reading.

“LibraryPass has a great model and platform that provides easy accessibility, value, and a wealth of content to readers of all ages, and to comics readers in particular, via Comics Plus,” said Marc Visnick, v-p for sales & business development at TKO Studios. “LibraryPass provides an important range of services to support and complement K-12, public, and academic library users, and shares our mission to nurture readers with diverse and compelling content.”

LibraryPass Chief Content Officer Guy LeCharles Gonzalez praised TKO Studios for both their great offerings, and their support for libraries.

“Not only do they have a compelling and growing catalog featuring notable creators who will be of great interest to our customers, but they truly support libraries’ efforts to engage readers of all kinds, regardless of where, how, or when they choose to read," Gonalez said, in a release. "Offering day & date availability to libraries via Comics Plus ensures libraries can meet demand for their titles at their peak, not just as backlist readalikes.”
