Continuing its expansion in the post–Baker & Taylor era, Ingram Library Services (ILS) has ramped up hiring efforts and announced the appointment of a director of sales, Zuanarda “Z” Causey.
The recent hires, which span operations, sales, and account onboarding, bring ILS’s team up to 35 librarians and 50 library services personnel, per the announcement. Other key hires include business development managers Michael Erving and Margaret Hansen, inside sales specialist Harley Beckmann, systems integration specialists Teresa Eldred and Austin Wolfe, and technical service specialists Amy Guerrero and Amanda Bimson.
ILS has also added new distribution center associates in Roseburg, Ore.; Ft. Wayne, Ind.; Chambersburg, Pa.; and La Vergne, Tenn.
Causey, who was most recently sales director at library system software company SirsiDynix, will lead ILS’s national library sales strategy.
“We’re happy to have Z on the Ingram team,” Carolyn Morris, VP of library services at Ingram Content Group, said in a statement. “His deep understanding of libraries and proven leadership in solutions-focused sales make him a perfect fit for our mission to support libraries in building vibrant collections that engage their communities.”
Since the closure of B&T late last year left a hole in the library wholesale market, Ingram has seen a large increase in demand for distribution, collection development, workflow continuity services. The wave of hires follows ILS’s partnership with cataloging and metadata provider Backstage Library Works, announced last month, which is intended to improve the efficiency of ILS’s processing and shelf-ready book delivery.
“We know how critical reliable service is for libraries, especially during times of transition,” Morris said. “By expanding roles in our operations locations, we’re ensuring that libraries can depend on us for timely delivery, efficient logistics, and the personalized support they deserve. Our commitment has always been—and will continue to be—to stand beside libraries as they serve their communities.”
