Barnes & Noble has made upgrades to &Classwork, the business-to-business e-commerce site it launched in 2020. The improvements are aimed at providing more titles and new services to libraries and other institutions.
Upgrades to the platform include advanced browsing features, easier payments, and faster delivery, B&N said in an announcement. Meanwhile, &Classwork now offers 3.5 million titles that libraries can order.
The bookstore chain already offers bulk discounting (20-35% on most titles) and browsing by Lextile level, grade level, age, foreign language, and format.
Libraries who do not already have an account with B&N can work directly with the B&N business development representative at a B&N store in their market.
B&N is just the latest company to try win over library business since wholesaler Baker & Taylor closed at the end of 2025, with Ingram, Bookazine, and even Amazon now looking to fill the gap left by B&T.
