Anjali Singh will be joining Simon & Schuster’s flagship imprint as a senior editor, starting September 20. Singh began her publishing career in 1997 as a book scout for Mary Anne Thompson. In 2002, she became an editor at Vintage Books, where she acquired Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi (Pantheon) and Half of a Yellow Sun by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie (Knopf). Singh moved to Houghton Mifflin Harcourt in 2006. At S&S, she will edit literary, graphic, and commercial fiction and nonfiction.
