Barnes & Noble today announced two new appointments to its digital and e-commerce businesses.

Jamie Iannone has been named president of Barnes & Noble Digital Products. In his new role, Iannone will be responsible for all NOOK e-reading devices, software, accessories, and retail integration; e-books and digital content; and third-party partnerships. Iannone joined B&N a year ago as executive v-p; prior to that, he held leadership positions at eBay, and was a media and IT consultant at Booz Allen & Hamilton.

Additionally, John Foley has joined the company as president of Barnes & Noble eCommerce. Foley will manage the BN.com online retail business including books, children’s books, toys and games, music, movies, home and gift items, electronics and marketplace, as well as merchandising, online, and search marketing. Foley had been at IAC, which operates Internet businesses, for the past 13 years, where he was most recently CEO of the Pronto Network, which includes Pronto.com, ProntoStyle.com, ProntoHome.com, and ProntoTech.com.

Iannone and Foley will report to William Lynch, CEO of B&N.
