Peter Conners has been promoted to publisher of BOA Editions, Ltd, the Rochester, NY-based nonprofit publisher specializing in poetry and short fiction. His previous title was editor/ marketing director. Conners began working at BOA in 2003 as marketing director. In his new role, he will oversee the editorial and overall direction of the press.
Mark R. Bierley, who resigned from his post as COO and CFO of Borders Group Inc. last week, is taking over as CFO of Pantry Inc., a Southeastern chain that operates several brands of convenience stores based in Cary, N.C. Bierley succeeds Frank G. Paci, who is leaving the company to pursue other interests.
