The dates for memorial services for two well-known publishing figures, Larry Ashmead and Pat Cody, have been announced.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 9, for editor Larry Ashmead, who passed away on September 3. The service will be held from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM at St. Bartholomew's Church, 325 Park Avenue at 51st Street, New York, NY 10022. A reception will immediately follow at Inside Park, the restaurant contained within the church.

The service for Cody, who founded Cody's Books with here husband Fred in 1956, will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 30, at the First Congregational Church of Berkeley, 2345 Channing Way in Berkeley. Cody died Thursday at age 87. Donations may be made in her name to DES Action, one of several action groups she was involved with. Cody's was one of Berkeley's most famous bookstores and was acquired by Andy Ross in 1977, who operated it for close to three decades.
