After some speculation over who would fill the job of chief financial officer, Borders has named an executive with experience in the Las Vegas gaming industry, Scott Henry, to the post. Henry, who was named executive v-p and CFO, has been running his own consulting firm, S.D. Henry Strategic Services, LLC, which focused on the gaming, hospitality and leisure industries. Borders has been without a permanent CFO since Mark Bierly left this summer. Before starting his consulting business in 2009, Henry was CFO at Las Vegas Sands Corp. Henry, who is 45, will report directly to Borders CEO Mike Edwards.
