Andrew Weber, senior v-p, operations and technology at Random House, will step down from that position at the end of the year. The announcement was made early Thursday afternoon by Madeline McIntosh, president, sales, operations and digital, and who will now take over Weber’s oversight responsibilities. During his 16-year career at Bantam Doubleday Dell and Random, Weber oversaw the integration of the backoffice operations of BDD with Random and is credited with making Random House’s supply chain one of the most efficient in the industry. He also helped build RH’s distribution business and create the company’s digital strategy.Outside of Random, Weber played an active role in BISG.
