Allison Verost is joining HarperCollins as assistant director of publicity of the children’s department. In her nearly eight years at Penguin Young Readers Group, Verost worked on campaigns for Matched by Ally Condie, 13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher, If I Stay by Gayle Forman, and other YA projects; as well as the Skippyjon Jones series by Judy Schachner.
Christine Pride has taken a position at Hyperion as senior editor. She was most recently an editor at Crown, where she acquired and edited memoir, fiction, and narrative nonfiction, including the bestsellers Huck by Janet Elder and The Crying Tree by Naseem Rakha. She began her editorial career at Doubleday in 2003. At Hyperion, Pride will acquire hardcover and trade paperbacks.
