Heather Lazare will join Touchstone as senior editor, coming most recently from the Crown Publishing Group, where she was editor and publishing manager of Crown Trade Paperbacks, developing a list of commercial and historical fiction, narrative nonfiction, humor, memoir, and pop culture. Lazare will join Touchstone August 1 and report to editorial director Sally Kim.
Her authors include Michelle Moran (Madame Tussaud), Karleen Koen (Before Versailles), Carolyn Turgeon (Mermaid), human rights activist John Prendergast (Unlikely Brothers), and Time Out’s Jane Borden (I Totally Meant to Do That). Before Crown, she worked at the Sandra Dijkstra Literary Agency.
