Katie O’Callaghan has joined the Harper marketing team as associate director, marketing. O'Callaghan will work on both fiction and nonfiction campaigns across all of the Harper imprints including Harper, Harper Business, and Broadside Books. She was most recently the senior marketing manager at Ballantine Bantam Dell.
Julianne Shapiro, formerly social media marketing manager of digital publisher Vook, has joined Library Journal/School Library Journal in a new full-time role as junior digital content specialist.
Miwa Messer has been named director of the Discover Great New Writers program at Barnes & Noble. Messer has been with Barnes & Noble since 1998.
Ariele Fredman has been promoted to publicist for Atria Books.
