Jason Rekulak and Brett Cohen have both been promoted at Quirk Books. Rekulak, who was associate publisher and creative director, has been bumped up to publisher. Cohen, who was v-p, is now president.

Rekulak, who has been at Quirk for 13 years, conceived of one of the house's most successful titles, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies; he also worked on the bestseller Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, and the Edgar winner Last Policeman. Cohen, who's been at Quirk for 12 years, has been, the publisher said in its release, "integral in the evolution of the business side to showcase the creative endeavors" of the publisher and also led Quirk's digital efforts.

With the promotions, David Borgenicht is taking on the role of owner/CEO of Quirk Productions, which is the parent company of Quirk Book and will focus on developing partnerships in film, television, and digital media.
