Suzanne Herz has been named executive v-p, executive director of publishing at Doubleday, effective immediately. She will continue to report to president of the Knopf Doubleday Publishing Group, Anthony Chirico.
Previously senior v-p, publishing, Herz has been with Doubleday for 20 years. She has worked on publishing campaigns for the imprint's major authors, including Dan Brown and John Grisham. In announcing the promotion, Chirico wrote, "her knowledge and savvy have earned her the trust of authors, the respect of agents, and the admiration of her colleagues."
