JillEllyn Riley and Peter Steinberg, who has an eponymous literary agency, have formed Arc & Type, a division of The Steinberg Agency that will create content in-house for book projects. Riley, who was editorial director of Miramax Books and a v-p at Fourth Story Media, will work on both fiction and nonfiction projects.
Explaining the focus of Arc & Type, the Steinberg Agency said it will "work with publishers and tap other creative avenues to conceptualize successful commercially- and critically-driven books, attach appropriate writers, and bring the projects to the market."
Steinberg will continue to oversee his agency (which opened in 2007), while also helping to oversee Arc & Type.
Riley has, most recently, been freelancing as a writer and editor.
