Dara Hyde has joined the Hill Nadell Literary Agency as an agent, working out of the company's Los Angeles office. Hyde, who has worked in publishing for over a decade, was an editor at Grove/Atlantic and then, later, the permissions and rights manager there. As an agent, Hyde will be representing literary and genre fiction, narrative nonfiction, graphic novels, memoir and, occasionally, young adult fiction.

Duriya Aziz has been promoted to senior v-p, international education publisher, Scholastic International.

At the University of Virginia Press, Emily Grandstaff has been promoted to sales and publicity director. Jason Coleman has been promoted to marketing director, and Brenda Fitzgerald has been promoted to customer service and operations manager.

At the Penguin Random House Audio Publishing Group, Alex Chernin has been promoted to publicist, representing Penguin Random House Audio’s adult and children’s lists in addition to Living Language and reference titles. Maren McCamley has been promoted to subsidiary rights and editorial manager, working across the Random House and Listening Library lists as well as Living Language, Fodor’s and the Random House reference publishing program.

Allison Adler and Caroline Zancan have both been promoted to associate editor at Henry Holt.
