Wendy McCurdy, formerly executive editor at Berkley Publishing Group, has been named editorial director at Kensington Publishing. The move marks a return to Kensington for McCurdy, who started her publishing career at Kensington’s Zebra Books in the early 1980s.

McCurdy will report to editor-in-chief John Scognamiglio, and will acquire primarily in the women’s fiction and romance genres. In addition to her role at Berkley, McCurdy also served as a senior editor at Bantam Dell.
