In a series of internal changes at Penguin Random House, Lance Fitzgerald is moving from v-p and director of subsidiary rights for Crown into the newly created role as v-p of content and business development at the PRH’s audio group. With Fitzgerald’s job switch, Denise Cronin, senior v-p of subsidiary rights, has been promoted to executive director of sub rights for the entire Random House division, including the Crown imprints.

Fitzgerald will report direct to Amanda D’Acierno, president and publisher of the audio group. In her memo announcing Fitzgerald’s appointment, D’Acierno said he will be responsible for “growing our list of titles to include foreign-language publishing, original audio publishing, and to deepening our connection to theater, as he also contributes to maintaining our publishing program of over 1,500 audiobooks.”

With Fitzgerald’s appointment, D’Acierno said that Amy Metsch, senior v-p and associate publisher of the audio group, is leaving the company.
