The non-profit dedicated to the art of storytelling, The Moth, has received a $750,000 grant from the MacArthur Foundation. The money will be used by the New York City-based group, founded in 1997, to expand its Moth Radio Hour to a weekly program. (Currently the Moth Radio Hour, which launched in 2009, airs ten times per year.) The money will also be used to preserve the Moth's archive--audio and video--of live performances.

The Moth Radio Hour currently airs on over 250 stations and is presented by The Public Radio Exchange.
