Columbia Business School and Columbia University Press have joined forces and will begin publishing under a new imprint, Columbia Business School Publishing, in October. The imprint will publish books, cases, periodicals and other works in finance, economics and other areas of business scholarship.

Columbia Business School dean R. Glenn Hubbard said, "The formation of Columbia Business School Publishing reinforces the School’s position as a global leader in business education," and added that the imprint will include works by the school’s own faculty in such fields as strategic thinking, microfinance and corporate social responsibility.

Among the first titles on the list are Strategic Intuition: The Creative Spark in Human Achievement by Columbia Business School associate professor of management William Duggan and an updated, expanded edition of 2006’s More Than You Know: Finding Financial Wisdom in Unconventional Places by Michael J. Mauboussin. The press will release three other titles in 2007.

Columbia Business School Publishing joins Harvard Business School Press and Wharton School Publishing as the third major business school with a publishing arm.
