Barnes & Noble has relaunched its study guide site, SparkNotes.com. The new site features numerous blogs--on everything from test prep to grammar to college admissions--a new section dedicated to social networking called Sparklife and e-books. (Previously, the SparkNotes guides were available only in print and and as pdf downloads.) The revamped site also features a flashcard application that allows users to test their knowledge in various subject area using digital flashcards and a quiz section devoted to a number of literary classics (and high school curriculum staples).

In a statement from B&N, Mike Skagerlind, v-p and head of digital for bn.com, said the new site is designed to "help students make sense of their assignments in the fastest, most effective way while being as fun as possible." B&N acquired SparkNotes in 2001.
