Just days after the Dallas Mavericks won the NBA Finals, Triumph Books, which specializes in quick-turnaround of print books about championship teams, has released its first instant e-book, Mavericks Stampede: Dirk Leads Dallas to the 2011 NBA Championship by Rob Mahoney. The book was made available on Wednesday in the iBookstore, the Kindle Store and BN.com for $9.99, and will be in bookstores Friday priced at $14.95.
Meanwhile, KCI Sports Publishing is preparing We Won the Cup! We Won the Cup! celebrating the Boston Bruins' Stanley Cup victory Wednesday. The 128-page book, published in partnership with the Boston Herald, will be on shelves by Saturday morning. The initial print run is 28,000. Previously, KCI had published books for the Green Bay Packers' Super Bowl victory and the San Francisco Giants' World Series championship.
