Ballantine Bantam Dell is creating a nonfiction team, which it says will complement its existing fiction team (head by Jennifer Hershey and Kim Hovey). The nonfiction group will be led by Jennifer Tung, who is joining RH from the women's magazine Redbook and stepping into the newly created role of v-p, editorial director of nonfiction. Tung will report to Libby McGuire, executive v-p and publisher of the division. Also new to the team is Richard Callison, who has been at Random House for years, working predominantly in sales, will now have the title of associate publisher of nonfiction; he will also report to McGuire.

Tung, who was deputy editor at Redbook, will be acquiring books across categories, and will oversee executive editors Pamela Cannon and Mamie Cochran. The nonfiction team, McGuire said in an announcement, is being created to "extend and expand upon" the momentum the division has seen with a recent spate of bestsellers in the area, including Bob Harper's Skinny Rules and Jack McCallum's The Dream Team.
