Hachette announced it will provide unabridged audiobook recordings free of charge to the National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (NLS), part of the Library of Congress (LOC). By the end of 2013, HBG will begin making select titles – including older titles as well as new releases – available through the NLS’s popular Talking Books program.
With this collaboration, HBG will help the NLS best serve their user base of close to 500,000 patrons of all ages, who are unable to read or handle regular print books.
