President and CEO of S&S Carolyn Reidy has announced that Ian Chapman has been promoted to chief executive and publisher, S&S UK and International. Chapman joined S&S UK in 2000 as managing director and CEO, and since 2010, has overseen S&S Australia, and in 2011, added S&S India to his purview.

"[Chapman] has led the company through an extended period of editorial development and financial growth, achieving record profit in 2012," said Reidy. "Under his direction, we have earned the respect and admiration of the author and agent community on both sides of the Atlantic."

Reidy also praised Chapman's involvement in the transition to digital publishing, and renewed the company's commitment to digital growth. "As this marketplace evolves we will place commensurate attention and focus on both the tools of discovery and our retail partnerships in order to maximize our online presence and sales of digital content," said Reidy.

Chapman simultaneously announced several promotions throughout his executive team. Suzanne Baboneau, previously publishing director, has been promoted to managing director, Adult Publishing Division. Ingrid Selberg has been named managing director of the Children's Publishing Division, and Rahul Srivastava will serve as the managing director of S&S India. James Horobin has been promoted to group sales director.

Chapman also announced the newly formed position of marketing and publicity director, which he anticipates filling shortly.

At the same, Kerr MacRae, who joined the company in 2010, resigned as executive director. "Kerr’s input has been invaluable in strengthening the company’s relationships with the UK and international trade," said Chapman. "He leaves with everyone’s grateful thanks for all he has done on the company’s behalf and the warmest of good wishes for his future endeavors."
