Legato Publishers Group, the new book distribution company launched three months ago and headed by Mark Suchomel, has added two new client publishers to its roster: Chouette Publishing of Montreal, which publishes the Caillou line of children’s books; and Cuento de Luz of Madrid, which publishes children’s picture books in Spanish and English. Legato will distribute Chouette and Cuento de Luz titles in the U.S. as of January 1, 2014.
Legato, which is a member of the Perseus Book Group and an affiliate of Publishers Group West, is headquartered in Chicago with a distribution center in Tennessee. Legato distributes books in the U.S. for 22 companies.
