Random House's cross Atlantic imprint, Hogarth, has signed two more authors to participate in its recently-announced Shakespeare project. Through the project, the imprint is commissioning authors to write prose re-tellings of Shakespeare's plays. The newest authors commissioned to work on Shakespeare titles are Margaret Atwood and Howard Jacobson. Atwood will be tackling The Tempest, while Jacobson will be taking on The Merchant of Venice.

The other two authors who previously signed on to participate in the project are Anne Tyler (who is re-envisioning Taming of the Shrew) and Jeannette Winterson (who is handling The Winter's Tale).
