PW’s Je Suis Charlie campaign to support free expression has raised $40,000 in contributions that will be donated to five organizations that support free speech.

More than 60 publishers and other members of the publishing community took up to a one-page ad in a special section in this week’s print issue to back free expression in the wake of the attack on Charlie Hebdo January 7. Money from the ads is going directly to one of the five free speech organizations chosen by a publisher with PW underwriting all costs.
