Michelle Obama's Becoming has continued to hit impressive sales heights since its release by Penguin Random House's Crown division on November 13.

In the last full week before Christmas (which ended December 23), the memoir had print sales of more than 712,000 copies, according to NPD BookScan. The 712,000 figure was higher than the 710,000 print copies that Becoming sold in its first week on sale at outlets that report to BookScan.

PRH said at the time shortly after Becoming's release that the book sold about 725,000 units across all formats in the U.S. and Canada on its first day on sale.

The memoir is well on its way to becoming the top selling title of 2018 despite its late publication date. According to BookScan, with one week of sales to go in 2018 Becoming sold nearly 3.2 million copies, easily outpacing Magnolia Table by Joanne Gaines which is currently in second place with just under 1.3 million copies sold.
