IDW Publishing has named Nachie Marsham its new publisher, while Veronica Brooks, formerly senior director to the v-p of creative affairs, has been promoted to v-p of creative affairs. The new appointments come in the wake of the suspension and the later firing of Jud Meyers, who was initially named publisher at IDW Publishing in July.

Before joining IDW, Marsham was executive editor at Disney Publishing Worldwide where he oversaw a variety of editorial teams throughout the company. Beginning in 2018, he was responsible for the Marvel imprint at DPW working on prose, picture books, and licences. Before joining Disney, Marsham worked in editorial at DC Comics for more than eight years and before that at Wizard Entertainment.

“Working collaboratively to create powerful stories has always been my passion,” Marsham said. “I couldn’t be more excited to join [IDW] in furthering these stories and expanding their creative direction across all platforms.”

In her new position, Brooks will now work alongside Marsham to develop strategies for IDW content across TV, film, podcasts, and digital media. Before joining IDW, Brooks worked as an independent producer at Ziff Davis, NBCUniversal, and MTV.

“I’m thrilled to be taking on new challenges and look forward to collaborating with Nachie and the rest of the team to continue to produce content that empowers, educates, and entertains,” said Brooks.

IDW CEO Ezra Rosencraft said, “With Nachie at the publishing helm and Veronica stepping into a larger role within the company, our creators, strong catalog of beloved original content, and our audience who trusts us to continue to deliver great stories across screens and platforms, are in the most capable hands.”
