Mango Publishing in Miami has inked a deal with the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, N.Y., to publish a series of books under the National Baseball Hall of Fame banner. Three books are set to be released this year, with plans to publish two to three books annually.

First book under the partnership, Picturing America’s Pastime, was published on June 17. The $33.95 hardcover includes rare photos of Babe Ruth, Jackie Robinson, Hank Aaron, and Honus Wagner from the Hall of Fame’s photographic collection.

Tim Mead, president of the Museum, said he believes the agreement with Mango, “will help us reach a broader audience with our mission to celebrate baseball’s rich history and the impact the National Pastime has had on culture.”

The list is being developed under the direction of Mango acquisitions editor Jane Kinney Denning. In addition to Picturing America’s Pastime, the 2021 release schedule includes Memories from the Mic, by Curt Smith, a history of the role that broadcasting has played in baseball, to be published in early August on the centennial of the first radio broadcast of a baseball game. The imprint also plans to release the first in a series of trivia books in November.
