Oni Press and writer and cartoonist Matt Kindt have inked a new publishing and media partnership that will see Kindt bring his Flux House imprint from Dark Horse to Oni for a variety of new series beginning summer 2026.
In tandem with the publishing deal, Oni has also acquired film and TV rights for more than 20 properties in the Flux House library, including series such as BANG! (cocreated with Wilfredo Torres) and Apache Delivery Service (cocreated with Tyler Jenkins).
Development of the Flux House library will be led internally by Oni, with Kindt serving as a producer alongside David Steward II, chairman of the Oni-Lion Forge Publishing Group and CEO of Oni parent company Polarity; Hunter Gorinson, president and publisher of Oni; and Jeremy Colfer, Oni’s director of development.
"Spanning comics publishing, film and television, gaming, licensing, and more, this newly minted partnership is unprecedented in scope and scale across Oni's nearly 30-year history," said Steward. "Since day one, it has been Oni's mission to bring the best and most powerful storytellers in comics together, and it's hard to think of a more heavyweight addition to that roster than Matt Kindt."
Kindt is best known for his series Mind MGMT, Dept. H, and BANG!, as well as cocreating BRZRKR with actor Keanu Reeves. After decades creating series for such publishers as Marvel, DC, and Dark Horse, Kindt returned to Oni in 2024 for the publisher’s relaunch of EC Comics, for which Kindt contributes to such titles as Epitaphs from the Abyss, Catacomb of Torment, and the Eisner and Ringo Award–nominated Cruel Universe.
The Oni-led incarnation of Flux House, which first debuted as Kindt’s signature publishing imprint at Dark Horse in 2022, will begin with three series beginning in June 2026 with Mind MGMT: New and Improved #1, written and illustrated by Kindt. The inaugural issue of the 12-part Fort Psycho series, written by Kindt with art by Brian Hurtt, will follow in August 2026, and the first installment of the quarterly comics anthology series Flux House Presents is set for November 2026.
