Rapper 2 Chainz Pens Spiritual Memoir

Nicholas Ciani, acquiring editor for Black Privilege Publishing, an imprint of Atria Books, has taken world English rights to a spiritual memoir by 2 Chainz. The two-time Grammy Award–winning rapper, actor, and entrepreneur reveals in The Voice in Your Head Is God, slated for March 2026, that the inner voice of God has guided him throughout his life, per the publisher. Jan Miller of Dupree/Miller & Associates represented 2 Chainz.

Comer Takes Meditations to WaterBrook

Campbell Wharton, publisher at PRH Christian/WaterBrook, has taken world rights to John Mark Comer’s Sabbath Meditations, a collection of readings and Bible passages inviting readers into intentional Sabbath practice with their family or faith community. The book, in conjunction with Comer's ministry Practicing the Way, will be released in April 2026. Comer and Practicing the Way are represented by Mike Salisbury and Curtis Yates of Yates & Yates.

Poet Nikki Grimes to Paraclete

Lillian Miao, director at Paraclete Press, acquired world rights to a book of poetry by bestselling author Nikki Grimes. In Twice Blessed, described by the publisher as a collection of "yard sale stories," Grimes considers how buying and selling objects that were once loved but perhaps discarded or forgotten can prompt untold stories of pain, joy, hope, and dreams. Publication is set for March 2026. The author is represented by Elizabeth Harding of Curtis Brown.

Spiritual Writing Anthology Goes to Broadleaf

Lisa Kloskin at Broadleaf Books bought world rights from Collegeville Institute for a writing craft anthology by voices from the Institute. The collection is tentatively titled A Whisper in the Dark: The Craft and Practice of Spiritual Writing and edited by Patrice Gopo and Ellie Roscher. It will feature contributions from authors including Krista Tippet, Kathleen Norris, Sophfronia Scott, Patrick Reyes, and Kao Kalia Yang. According to the publisher, the book is intended to inspire and encourage writers to "pay attention, write toward truth, and create beauty." The book is planned for spring 2027. No agent was involved.

Brazos Title Promotes Biblical Norms

Executive editor Bob Hosack of Brazos Press has signed for world rights to the unagented Soong-Chan Rah’s A Movement Delayed, to release in summer 2027. Rah, a professor at Fuller Theological Seminary, argues that in the 21st century we must explore ways Christianity can reflect biblical rather than cultural norms, according to the publisher.

Semiquincentennial Devotional to Paraclete

Lillian Miao, director at Paraclete Press, acquired world rights to God Bless America: Scriptures, Devotions & Prayers for Our Nation by Bonnie Rickner Jensen. In celebration of next year's 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the 60-day devotional weaves scriptures and prayers with historical reflections and meditations on the motto, “In God We Trust." Publication is set for April 2026. The author represented herself.
