After 150 years of Christian publishing—and adding multiple related ministries—David C Cook has rebranded under a new corporate moniker, Cook Media Global. The rationale, said CEO Bill Reeves, is that "We've simply outgrown our name."
Reeves announced the new corporate structure and logo at the company anniversary party September 19 in Denver. Each of the cornerstone brands will maintain its distinctive identity and current leadership. Now, however, book publisher David C Cook, Integrity Music, and Group Publishing, which produces Vacation Bible School materials, will share resources with the parent organization.
Jana Zachman, president of Cook Media Global, said the new structure "provides the framework for our ministry to clarify our existing brands while exploring new opportunities for us to serve the Church through creative content for generations to come.”
The company is based in Colorado Springs, Colo., with offices in Loveland, Colo.; Franklin, Tenn.; Brighton, England; and a new distribution center in Elgin, Ill. The company was founded in 1875 by Cook to provide Sunday school curriculum to children in the aftermath of the Chicago Fire.
