The first Mazama Festival of Books, to be held August 18 and 19 in Mazama, Washington, will feature ten authors, including Northwest regional writers Jim Lynch, Ryan Boudinot, Erik Brooks, and Lidia Yuknavitch, who will participate in intimate salon-style conversations with host Katherine Lanpher, the veteran public radio broadcaster.

Admission is $5.00 per adult per program session, and free to kids and teens under 18. Mazama is a small rural community in eastern Washington within the Cascade Mountain Range. The Festival founders are Art Gresh, part-time resident, and the Methow Arts Alliance, an innovative arts education program that serves students in six school districts in the area.
