Spoken Word Grammys Awarded

Comedians Carol Burnett and Patton Oswalt were the big winners in the spoken word categories at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards presented in Los Angeles. In Such Good Company: Eleven Years of Laughter, Mayhem, And Fun in the Sandbox, Burnett’s collection of behind-the-scenes anecdotes from her iconic The Carol Burnett Show published by Random House Audio, took home the prize for Best Spoken Word Album, featuring Burnett’s narration. Oswalt’s Talking for Clapping, the recording of his most recent stand-up special, on the ASpecialThing Records label, earned the Best Comedy Album title.
